Last August 4, 2021, the Chilean tax office (SII), has issues an official update on the way to backup the employee’s expense summaries.
On June 1, 2021 the “Safe return” to work law was pushed. This Law is applicable while the health alert is in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The alert should finish on June 30, 2021, but it can be extended by the government.
On November 7, 2020, Law 21.283 was published in the Official newspaper and it went into force. This law makes changes to the minimum wage.
The employment aid plan, has gone into force, with the goal of recovering and creating jobs that were lost due to the coronavirus pandemic. The plan will operate on two options a “Return Aid” for employees whose employment was suspended due to Covid-19 quarantines, and a “Hiring Aid ” for new hiring’s.

On August 10th, 2020, the Chilean Tax Office (SII) published the No. 53 ruling (Circular N° 53), which instructs about the reach of the changes introduced by the new tax law (Ley de Modernización Tributaria) on the matters such as definition of necessary expenses, which can be deducted from the companies' tax base.
